warranty

We guarantee our guitars to be made without defects in hardware and components for the lifetime of the original owner. If you have a problem with something, please contact us. If we determine something happened with any of our guitars that was a result of a true manufacturing defect, we will repair it for you. Please note, we guarantee only the original materials and components that the guitar left our shop with.

Wear and tear over the natural use of the guitar is both natural and expected. Some of our guitars that have been given the “relic” treatment will have visible checking, chips, discoloration, dings, and scratches on the finish. Finish imperfections (lacquer, metal plating, and plastic wear) are part of the soul of the instrument and are not considered defects. Battle wounds from frequent use are to be celebrated.

Any modifications made to the instrument that may damage or render the guitar unplayable will not be covered under warranty. Certain components like pickguards are made custom fit to each individual guitar, so trying to fit an aftermarket one yourself may be a disappointing journey for you.

All guitars need to be adjusted over the years. General maintenance is expected to be taken care of by the owner to keep the guitar playable - things like string changes, regular cleaning, tuning, and maintaining proper humidity and storage for the guitar. When making a drastic change in string size we recommend taking the instrument to your favorite luthier for a proper setup and truss rod or nut adjustment if necessary.

Other important details (aka THE FINE PRINT) - Natural disasters, theft, abandonment, abuse, negligence, and acts of the flying spaghetti monster are not covered under warranty. Don’t expose the instrument to extreme temperatures, and absolutely, 100% do not use it as a boat anchor. “Tone” is also considered an act of god and subjective; we can’t guarantee that you’ll sound like Jimi, but you should at least have fun trying.

A final note -

Please take care of your instrument. We put a lot of love and sweat and blood into each one, and we do our best to make sure that comes through to anyone who plays one. We are always happy to chat and recommend best practices for storage and upkeep of a guitar.

The long and short of it: we want you to love these guitars as much as we do.
